Students are required to present their immunization cards when enrolling in the Sweetwater Union High School District.
California requires students who are from OUT of State to have verification of Chicken Pox through either a Doctor's note or the immunization record. Chicken Pox is a one or two dose series depending on student age.
Pertussis (Tdap) is now required for those students entering 7th grade. 1 dose meets the requirement.
The other required immunizations are the normal baby shots and Boosters of Polio, Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) as well as Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DPT).
