The committee is comprised of nine members, who represent all areas of the Sweetwater District. In addition to being Sweetwater residents, committee members also represent the San Diego County Taxpayers Association, local development industry and post secondary education.

Members of the Bond Oversight Committee are responsible for attending six (6) scheduled meetings each year (every other month) to oversee how the bond funds are used. They advise the district as to the process of prioritization of the projects, making sure that the plans are developed within the budgetary parameters, and further, review progress at each of the Proposition BB sites.
