Community members are invited to apply to fill openings on the Prop O Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee.
The Sweetwater Union High School District created the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee under the rules of Proposition 39, which directs that the Board of Trustees appoint a Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee to monitor bond expenditures on Proposition O construction projects.
Proposition O was approved by voters in November 2006 to issue $644 million in general obligation bonds to fund modernization and construction of Sweetwater District school campuses and facilities.Candidates are needed to complete terms and fill upcoming vacancies for the following seats:
Committee members may not include any employee or official of the district or any vendor, contractor or consultant of the Sweetwater District.
