Palomar High principal named Administrator of the Year
Over the past several years Palomar High has been recognized on numerous levels, including being named a Model Continuation School by the California Department of Education. At the forefront of these honors has been Principal Griselda Delgado.
Recently, the California Continuation Education Association (CCEA) named Delgado as the Administrator of the Year for Region IX - San Diego County. She will be honored at the CCEA state conference in Los Angeles on April 27, 2012.
"We are very proud of Griselda and all that she has accomplished at Palomar High," said Board President Pearl Quiñones. "She is a true example of an excellent leader and the staff and students of Palomar are better off because of her great talents."
Palomar High School has been the only continuation high school for the Sweetwater Union High School District for more than 27 years. Palomar High School is fully accredited by The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and has been recognized a Model Continuation High School by the state of California for three consecutive five year terms.
