Committee Being Formed to Name New Chula Vista High Performing Arts Center

The Sweetwater Union High School District would like to invite interested community members to serve on a committee that will name the newly constructed Performing Arts Center at Chula Vista High School.

This Committee is responsible for naming a new facility constructed under the district's $644 million general obligation bond, Proposition "O," approved by the voters in November, 2006.

The Facilities Naming Committee will be composed of seven community members to be chosen at the December 13, 2010 Board of Trustees meeting.

Current Sweetwater District employees, relatives of Board of Trustee members or district employees and people in a non-district supervisor/subordinate relationship with a Board of Trustee member or district employee are not eligible to serve on the committee.

No previous experience is necessary. Interested individuals should send a letter of interest and qualifications by Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 4:30 PM to:
