Bertha López to lead CSBA Nominating Committee
Bertha López, a member of the Sweetwater Union High School District governing board, was recently selected to chair the 2011 California School Boards Association Nominating Committee.
The Nominating Committee interviews and nominates candidates for the offices of California School Board Association Vice President and President-elect. As Chair of the Committee, López will be responsible for overseeing the candidate recruitment, application, interview and selection process, conducting the committee's meetings and presenting candidates to the Delegate Assembly.
Last December, Ms. López was elected by the 270-member California School Board Association Delegate Assembly to the 2010 Nominating Committee. At their October 9 meeting, the members of the 2010 Committee selected López to serve as the carry-over member and chair of the 2011 Committee.
