Chancery

 

This month we will be closing out the school year in Chancery.  Once our Year End Process is complete, the 2009-2010 year will become Historical and 2010-2011 year will become the Active year.  All attendance and master schedule information from 2009-2010 will be purged.  All final grades from 2009-2010 will move to Historical.  All students will project to their new grade level and/or school as appropriate.

 

We recently upgraded Power Teacher Grade Book.  The update allowed us to resolve an issue regarding grade entry.  We look forward to more and more teachers using this application for inputting of their students' grades.

We are continuing to support our schools sites with creating their master schedules.  We have also made our IT Lab available for school site master scheduling teams to come in for assistance with building their master schedules.  Please contact us to make an appointment.

 

Email Systems

 

Over the past few months we have been working diligently to upgrade our email systems.  Beginning July 1st, Microsoft Outlook will be Sweetwater Union HS District's primary email system.  Access to FirstClass will be turned-off, and Outlook will be used to send and receive all District email going forward.  This means that any old emails you wish to keep from FirstClass need to be exported out of your current inbox for later viewing.  Please contact us for any assistance exporting your emails from FirstClass.

 

 

District employees now have the ability to view their human resources information through Lawson, using the newly implemented Employee Self Service (ESS) web application.  Employees can view their benefits, dependents, credentials and other personal information.  They can also add or change their beneficiary and emergency contact info.  Click here for instructions on how to access ESS.
