Create Links

Putting in a link is a three-step process:

• First, you create the text that you will link from
• Second, you select the text that will become a link
• Third, you create the link by referencing a URL

First: Type in the text you want to link to.

About a dozen early reviews of Catcher in the Rye. Most are from 1951. Isn't it interesting how we same the same things of the book today. Timeless. Compare these essays to another essay written by Brian Banks recently.

 

Second: Select the text that will become a link by highlighting (dragging over) it.

Third: Create the link by referncing a URL.
 

• Click the Link icon on the toolbar.

• Clicking the link icon gets you this window:

• Type in the URL and then click the OK button.

• Tip: If you have kept windows open in Navigator and Composer, you can copy a URL from the Navigator window and paste it into the Link window in Composer.

The text you highlighted should now be a link
