Our Mission
The mission of the Sweetwater Union High School District Information Technology Department is to ensure timely and efficient service and support of the district's computer and networking technology by providing high-quality customer service, skilled technical support and efficient applications.
To achieve the mission, the Information Technology Department believes that:
- Staff must share in the department's vision;
- Staff must have respect for their co-workers;
- Staff must take pride in their job and the work that they do;
- Technology maximizes productivity and efficiency;
- A well trained staff will ensure systems are maintained properly
- Teamwork and Trust are key factors to the department's success;
- Staff must have high expectations of themselves and their coworkers
- Employee job satisfaction leads to greater productivity;
- The department must be a leader not a follower.
The department is divided into five key sections: Projects,Computer Support,Database and Systems,Telecommunications and Website Development. In addition, IT has responsibility for District-wide technology standards and coordination of the Education Rate (E-Rate) program.
